MOTIVE
     An analiysiss of the present day Romanian educational siystem reveals to us a few disturbing things:

• the siystem is overcharged (having many useless subjects and too difficult textbooks especially for the gymnasium )
• the lack of learning incentives for the pupils especially in the countryside where the perspectives of having a better job than the others if you have a post mainstreaming exam diploma or a high school graduation diploma are extremely limmitted.
• the growing lack of interest of the teachers towards the subjects they teach having as a reason the poor wages from the Romanian educational siystem

     Looking at things objectively, there are very few pupils today who have the will and itellectual ability which is necessary to learn at a good or very good level the subjects which are taught in the gymnasium or high school without receiving any additional help from the educational structures of the state.
     This situation is felt even more gravely by the young people with disabilities(with mobility difficulties), because on one hand their poor families can’t afford to make the additional expensses needed to ensure a private educational assistance,and on the other a teacher who is willing to come to the pupil’s home.      That ‘s why the aim of the program Educational “Assistance for the Young People –ASETH 2003 is to remedy this situation and to equalize the opportunities of the young people with disabilities.

THE STRUCTURE OF THE PROGRAM
     The implementation of the program is ensured by the coordonating group which is made up of the president of the NSPDR Bucharest Branch ,the coordinator ,the secretarry and the other memmbers coopted in order to achieve some speciffical tasks: PR man,accountant,responsable IT&C and translator
     The target group (beneficiarries) is made up of children and teenagers with disabilites aged between 10-20 years who are includdeed into the giymnasial and high school learning siystem.
     The Instructors: are either faculty graduates,or of a pedagogical high school or students who go to the homes of the young people with disabilities.
During the program the teaching of the children is achieved in working groups:

• 3 groups of mathemathics+physics +informathics
• 1 group of special assistance +speech theraphy + Romanian
• 2 groups of Romanian
• 4 groups of Romanian+English +French

Every working group is made up of 3-4 children and is lead by an instructor The Structure of the program can be defined by the following diagram:
